First stop Pompeii. We stopped for lunch and took a 2 1/2 hour outdoor walking tour in the pouring rain. After a while we all just embraced it haha it was brutal. But we saw the old ancient town and it was pretty cool! Here are some pics :)

Next up was Sorrento, about an hour south of Pompei. Here, we spent the night and a really nice 4 star hotel. Since we have all been used to sketchy hostels, this might as well have been paradise.
We were given an hour or so of free time to get ready for dinner, and then we were offered a well portioned 3 course meal with vini delle Toscana. Then the whole group went to a Limoncello shop for a tasting. I can tell you, I am not much of a fan hahaha.
Lemon trees! Southern Italy, and especially Napoli and its surrounding areas are the main producers of lemons, which typically get used for limoncello.

The next morning, we were up super early to catch our ferry to Capri, and island off the coast of Italy!

Even if it was a cloudy day and it was gonna rain at any second, nothing was more beautiful than what we were seeing. I just can't imagine what it would be like with the day being sunny, then I for sure would never wanna leave!

Ash and I! The tide was so high that people were actually getting sea sick. Our ferry boat was vigorously rocking up and down so much that we were being pulled off of our seats. I usually don't have a problem with sea sickness, but that day proved me wrong. |

Once reaching the island of Capri, right off the coast we were surrounded by the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian Seas. The sun was just rising when we arrived and it was incredible how it was hitting the different colors of the buildings and houses. Too cute. We were given immediately a boat tour of only parts of the island because the tide was so high it would have gotten dangerous. Also, unfortunately the Blue Grotto was closed, and we were all looking forward to it. Here's a picture of it http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02142/g1_2142524b.jpg . Once we finished our tour we took a tram straight uphill to the city center on top of the mountain, where it was at this point pouring rain. But that didn't stop us!!! Lucca bought us all some gelato and we went to a private garden where we could overlook the other side of the island. Stunning. Then we were off to get us some lunch, and around 5 pm we took a ferry to Naples to drive back to Florence.
